Quality Content = More SalesIf you are involved with Internet marketing in anyway, you know that “Content is King,” but it is not always an easy task to add quality content. However, the undeniable truth is quality content does lead to more sales.

What is quality content?
It is creating something unique and informative that grabs the attention of your readers and is relevant to their search query. Just finding your site or blog may not be enough. Your content needs to persuade them to take a desired action, also known as call to action. A clear call to action is the key to the success of your business. Content for the sake of content won’t bring you anymore sales unless it makes that important connection with your readers to take an action.

There are many simple ways for you to increase your sales with content. The following are three examples of driving traffic and converting them to paying customers.

  1. Keywords – Perhaps the best way to drive qualified traffic to your site and gain new customers is by writing content that is keyword rich. Stuffing your copy with meaningless keywords is not the answer. Do a keywords search using a tool like Google’s Keyword Tool to find relevant search terms. Look for a good balance between search volume and competition. Make a list and then start writing or editing if you are using Private Label Rights (PLR) materials. Start by writing a headline that includes your keywords, one that will grab attention. Write or edit the body of your text using your keywords. Make sure your text makes sense to your readers. It is a delicate balance between satisfying the interests of your human visitors and the needs of search engines.
  2. Opt-in Lists – You probably very well know that online visitors rarely buy on their first visit. Therefore, it is vital that you find a way to capture the basic information, their name and email address before they leave your site. Your site visitors are not going to give up their information for nothing. You need to offer them something of value in exchange. The easiest way to build an opt-in list of potential customers is to offer something on your website for free. It could be as simple as a free report detailing more information about your product or a free copy of an eBook you have written. Enticing the customer to want to sign up for something will allow you to grow your opt-in list. Money is in the list!
  3. Promotions – Promoting your product throughout the content of your website is the best way to get a customer interested. Place a graphic of your product and make it clickable to a sales page about the product. Once the customer is there, give them the option to either buy the product or receive more information about the product. This again, allows you to develop a list of potential customers who you can then market to in the future. Another effective promotion option is One Time Offers (OTO). A good OTO can convert into sales at around 10%. That could very easily add hundreds of dollars of additional sales to your front product. There is much more to this topic and I plan to write several articles on OTO. Stay tuned.

Use any or all of these content marketing techniques and you will start seeing an increase in your sales.
