How to Sell eBooks and Build Your Online Empire

If everybody and his brother is selling eBooks online, is it possible to still make money?

The answer is “YES.” However, there’s a “BUT” and it is – only if you learn to do it right from the get go. Otherwise you may be wasting a lot of time and money trying to figure out what eBooks to create and sell to earn a living.

Why should you build your own eBook empire?

Let’s first look at some of the advantages of setting up your online shop selling eBooks.

1. No inventory to maintain, no shipping involved – you have an endless supply of eBooks that can be purchased at any time of the day, night or year and delivered to your customers 24/7 on autopilot
2. You don’t need a lot of money to launch a profitable eBook business
3. Printed books tend to sell in the $9 ~ $30 range whereas eBooks tend to command a premium, usually you can sell them anywhere from $17 ~ $47
4. eBooks have a much higher profit margins because of lower overheads (no publisher and agent cuts like there are with print books)
5. eBooks can be updated with new information and delivered to your customers without delays or expense of reprints
6. Sell additional information products (your own or affiliate products) as backend sales built into the original eBook
7. eBooks help planet earth because the reader can print “on demand” or print only relevant sections and read the rest on the screen

You may be asking yourself, “I’m not a professional writer, how can I create my own eBooks and make money?”

The good news is you don’t have to be a professional writer to launch your own eBook empire. And the bad – you do need to spend the time to learn the right way to make money creating and selling eBooks.

You want to have an army of virtual salespeople out there driving traffic to your sales page and pulling in profits. That way you can move on to creating and adding another eBook to your empire.

You can use many free and low-cost tools to launch your first and subsequent eBooks online. It isn’t a business opportunity that requires a large investment of money, but you do need to commit some time to make sure it’s properly launched in a way that builds and solidifies your reputation as a high-quality eBook creator and seller within the niche.
